Cygnar: Gravediggers Core Expansion introduces a highly versatile and tactically advanced force for Warmachine MKIV, expanding the elite Gravediggers sub-faction with a powerful mix of infantry, warjacks and specialist support units. Designed for mid-sized games and army expansion, this set delivers a flexible “toolbox” playstyle built around mobility, precision and battlefield control.

At the head of the force is Major Grant Vargus, a veteran warcaster known for his resilience and ability to push both soldiers and warjacks beyond their limits. Supported by decades of battlefield experience, Vargus leads from the front, keeping pace with rapid deployments and directing the Gravediggers’ highly mobile tactics.

Alongside him is Lieutenant Stella Barron, a skilled character solo who provides critical battlefield coordination and tactical support. Together they form the command core of a force built to adapt to any engagement.

The Gravediggers excel in rapid deployment and unconventional warfare. The Blocker and Skirmisher light warjacks enter the battlefield via heavy airdrop systems, striking where the enemy is least prepared and disrupting entrenched positions. These fast-moving assets allow Cygnar forces to seize control of key areas early in the battle.

Supporting infantry includes hardened Gravedigger Rangers, deployed in multiple units to hold ground and control objectives, alongside disciplined Gun Mages who deliver precise arcane firepower at range. The Heavy Machine Gun Crew provides sustained fire support, while the Trollkin Express Sniper offers pinpoint elimination of high-value targets. The Mantlet adds defensive utility and battlefield control through rapid deployment.
