Victrix Medieval Crossbowmen & Archers – 28mm Hard Plastic Multipose Miniatures (30 Figures)

The Victrix Medieval Crossbowmen & Archers set provides a flexible infantry option for medieval tabletop wargaming, covering conflicts across Europe from the late 12th to the late 13th centuries. This hard plastic kit contains 30 multipose 28mm miniatures, allowing you to build a mix of missile troops suitable for a wide range of historical armies and scenarios.

The box includes 20 crossbowmen and 10 archers, with numerous head and arm options to create varied units on the tabletop. These figures can be used in games set during the Crusades, the Barons’ Wars, and conflicts across France, England, Spain, Germany, as well as campaigns involving the Scots, Welsh, and Irish.

Historically, English infantry increasingly relied on the bow following Henry III’s Assize of Arms in 1242, while the crossbow was widely adopted by French forces. Crossbowmen from Italy, Gascony, and Catalonia were particularly well known for their skill, making this set suitable for both northern and southern European forces.

In medieval warfare, missile troops such as archers and crossbowmen commonly formed part of a solid infantry centre alongside spearmen, supporting cavalry charges and defensive formations. This set fits naturally into those battlefield roles for historical and narrative gaming alike.
