Soviet Truck ZIL-130 Model Kit
Soviet Truck ZIL-130 Model Kit
The ZIL-130 is one of the most iconic trucks in the history of the Russian automotive industry. First introduced in the early 1960s, this versatile workhorse served both the Soviet military and civilian sectors for decades. The first prototypes appeared in 1962, and full-scale production at the Moscow ZIL plant ran from 1963 to 1994 — with more than 3.3 million units produced.
Powered by a robust 8-cylinder, V-shaped carburetor engine producing 150 horsepower, the ZIL-130 was renowned for its reliability and endurance. Later upgrades increased the truck’s payload capacity to 6 tonnes and extended its chassis lifespan to an impressive 300,000 km. Its distinctive design — including the bold grille and triple cab lights added in 1980 — made it instantly recognizable on roads and job sites across the USSR.
