Popcorn – Board Game | Bag-Building Strategy Game About Cinema Management

Popcorn is a vibrant and strategic bag-building board game where 2 to 4 players take on the role of cinema managers competing to become the ultimate box office success. Designed for ages 10 and up, and with approximately 60 minutes of gameplay, Popcorn offers deep replayability, meaningful decisions, and engaging mechanics — perfect for family game nights or tabletop enthusiasts.

Can you dominate the box office and win over your movie-going audience?
In Popcorn, each player runs their own cinema and must carefully plan which movies to show and which guests to attract to maximize revenue and prestige. Fans have preferences, and it's your job to satisfy them with the right theatre setup and movie selection.

The game is played over 9 rounds, each with 3 phases:

  1. Buy movies, build theatres, attract guests

  2. Simultaneously welcome and seat guests

  3. Optimize seating for powerful actions — upgrade your cinema, earn money, gain popcorn (victory points), and grow your influence

At the end of the final round, the player with the most Popcorn (victory points) wins.
