Italeri RF-4C E Phantom II - 1:72 Scale Model Kit

Build a detailed 1:72 scale model of the McDonnell Douglas RF-4C/E Phantom II, the reconnaissance version of the famous twin-engine F-4 Phantom II fighter aircraft.

Designed for tactical reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering missions, the RF-4C was adapted from the F-4 with a redesigned forward fuselage housing photographic and terrain-scanning equipment. Unlike the fighter versions, the reconnaissance aircraft was built around its ability to observe and gather information, including during challenging operations over enemy territory.

The RF-4C saw extensive service during the Vietnam War and was continually upgraded throughout its operational career with improved avionics, photographic equipment and data-gathering systems. It remained in service with the United States Air Force and other allied air forces into the late 1990s.

With a maximum speed exceeding Mach 2, the Phantom II reconnaissance aircraft combined high-speed performance with long-range intelligence-gathering capabilities.

This Italeri plastic model kit is supplied with new decal options representing aircraft from the United States, Germany, Spain, Iran and Israel, offering a selection of interesting liveries and camouflage schemes. The completed model measures approximately 26.7cm in length.

Supplied unpainted and requiring assembly. Figures are not included.
