The Italeri FIAT CR.42 Falco Assault/Night Fighter 1:48 scale model kit faithfully recreates one of the last and most advanced biplane fighters used in combat during World War II. Developed by FIAT following the success of the CR.32 Freccia, the CR.42 was designed for agility and low-altitude combat, featuring a reinforced aluminium and steel frame clad in metal and fabric. Powered by the air-cooled FIAT A.74 radial engine, the CR.42 achieved a maximum speed of 400 km/h and was praised by pilots for its exceptional manoeuvrability.

This detailed plastic aircraft model kit (kit number 2842) includes a super decals sheet with four historically accurate liveries, including variants from the Regia Aeronautica and the German Luftwaffe. Representing both assault and night fighter configurations, this kit allows modellers to build historically significant versions of a plane that saw service across multiple theatres, despite the technological gap between it and contemporary monoplane fighters.
