The Italeri Grumman F6F Hellcat 1:72 scale plastic model kit recreates one of the most iconic carrier-based fighter aircraft of World War II. Introduced in 1943, the F6F-3 Hellcat was designed to replace the earlier F4F Wildcat and to directly counter the Japanese Zero, quickly becoming the dominant U.S. Navy fighter in the Pacific Theater.

Powered by the formidable 2,000-horsepower Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine, the Hellcat delivered excellent speed, durability, and combat performance. Armed with six wing-mounted 12.7mm Browning machine guns, it excelled in air superiority missions, fleet defence, ground attack, and close air support.
