The Italeri F-84 E/G Thunderjet 1:72 scale plastic model kit is a detailed replica of the classic American jet fighter-bomber from the 1950s. Designed for experienced modellers, this 16.1 cm aircraft model captures the sleek engineering of one of the USAF’s most important early jet-powered fighters. 

Developed by Republic Aviation in the post-war years, the F-84 Thunderjet featured a powerful General Electric/Allison J35 engine capable of reaching speeds up to 1,000 km/h. With its distinctive circular air intake, straight wings, and tricycle landing gear, the F-84 combined durability with speed and precision. The F-84G variant, first produced in 1951, became widely used across NATO countries through the Mutual Defense Assistance Program, including service in the Italian Air Force from 1952 onwards. Armed with six 12.7 mm machine guns and capable of carrying up to 900 kg of ordnance, the Thunderjet was a key player in early Cold War air power.
