The Hail Caesar Successor Starter Army by Warlord Games provides a large and flexible force representing the powerful Hellenistic armies that emerged after the death of Alexander the Great. This impressive 28mm miniature set offers a balanced combination of disciplined infantry, fast moving cavalry and the battlefield impact of a war elephant.

This starter army can be used to represent several major Successor states including the Seleucid Empire, the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, or the forces of Pyrrhus of Epirus. These armies fought across the Mediterranean and Near East during the turbulent centuries following Alexander’s campaigns, competing for dominance across Greece, Asia Minor, Egypt and beyond.

At the heart of the army are phalangites equipped with the famous Macedonian pike formation. These troops formed the disciplined core of Hellenistic warfare, advancing in dense formations supported by cavalry and specialist units. The inclusion of Companion style cavalry provides mobile striking power while the war elephant adds a dramatic and formidable centrepiece to your army.

The box contains 100 plastic phalangite infantry, 8 metal Companion Cavalry, and 1 metal and resin Successor war elephant with crew. Also included are three phalangite shield decal sheets and plastic bases to help you build cohesive and historically inspired units.
