Pyrrhus of Epirus was one of the most celebrated commanders of the Hellenistic world and a formidable opponent of the rising Roman Republic. This detailed 28mm metal miniature from Warlord Games represents the legendary king who fought to defend Greek interests in Italy and whose costly victories against Rome gave rise to the famous term pyrrhic victory.
Born into the turbulent era following the death of Alexander the Great, Pyrrhus navigated exile, political intrigue and warfare before reclaiming his throne in Epirus and later ruling Macedonia. His campaigns in Italy saw his Macedonian style phalanxes and war elephants face the Roman legions for the first time, creating some of the most famous battles of the ancient world.
This blister pack contains a finely detailed 28mm scale metal miniature of Pyrrhus of Epirus suitable for use as a commanding general in Hail Caesar historical tabletop wargames.
