Crimean War British Light Dragoon Command - Black Powder

The 13th Light Dragoons were famously at the forefront of the Charge of the Light Brigade during the Battle of Balaklava. Facing a hail of Russian artillery, they rode into the valley with courage, but insufficient numbers prevented them from holding their position. Over 40 men, including three officers, were lost in the ill-fated charge.

Despite this setback, the regiment later participated in the Battle of Inkerman and the Siege of Sevastopol, exemplifying the resilience of British cavalry during the Crimean War.
