Embark on an exciting maritime adventure with the Catan Seafarers Expansion 6th Edition, designed for 3-4 players aged 10 and above. This expansion requires the base game, Catan - The Game, to play. Set sail to conquer the magnificent island world of Catan, where nine voyages of discovery await the settlers.

The Seafarers Expansion can be combined with Catan - Traders & Barbarians and Catan - Cities & Knights, offering a rich campaign filled with varied scenarios. Players will explore new shores, settle on neighbouring islands, and earn special victory points for being the first to establish a settlement. Navigate uncharted waters, encounter a mysterious forgotten tribe, and defend against increasingly intrusive pirates as you vie for glory in Catan.

This expansion introduces new frame pieces that allow for variable board sizes, enabling players to create unique island combinations using hexes from both the base game and the expansion. Each player receives 15 ships, which can be built using 1 lumber and 1 wool. Ships must be placed adjacent to coastal settlements or existing ships, with the added flexibility of repositioning front ships on a shipping route to outmaneuver opponents.

New features include gold fields that provide any type of resource to adjacent settlements or cities, and the pirate, who introduces unrest on the seas. Your adventurous spirit will drive you to plant fresh roots and build spectacular wonders on the smaller islands of the Catanian archipelago, undeterred by pirates, fog, or rough waters.
