Carnevale World's Faire Afterparty is a two-player starter set for Carnevale, a narrative skirmish game set in a strange and transformed Venice. The Rent in the sky has changed the world, while Venice has become a thriving city where factions seek to harness its mysterious power for their own purposes.
The World's Faire celebrates the inventions of the Doctors of the Ospedale, but the event has attracted the attention of Venice's hedonistic nobility. Players take control of two small gangs, the Patricians and the Doctors, and battle through the World's Faire in an attempt to foil the Doctors' enemies.
Carnevale uses three-dimensional gameplay where the environment becomes part of the action. Characters can swim, row, climb and jump, while enemies can be defeated in a variety of ways, including shoving them from rooftops, drowning them in canals or facing them in combat.
The set contains everything needed for two players to get started, including 8 plastic miniatures, cardboard scenery, a fold-out play mat, dice, a range ruler, quick reference cards, tokens and a 48-page rulebook containing rules and scenarios.
