Bolt Action US Army 57mm Anti Tank Gun

Add mobile anti-tank firepower to a US Army force with the Bolt Action US 57mm M1 anti-tank gun. Developed from the British QF 6-pounder, the 57mm M1 became the standard US anti-tank gun by mid 1944 and saw service in Italy and Northern Europe during the Second World War.

Although the 57mm M1 could struggle against heavily armoured German tanks when firing from the front, its manoeuvrability, compact design and rapid rate of fire made it a useful battlefield weapon. Its relatively small size also made it easier for crews to conceal and reposition.

In Bolt Action, the 57mm M1 can be included in Artillery Platoons as a Medium Anti-tank Gun and can be towed by most vehicles.

The hard plastic kit includes the gun and four US Army crew in mid to late war uniforms. A selection of heads, arms and equipment allows the crew to be customised, while the additional crew member can be used as a Platoon Commander, Spotter or added to an infantry squad.

The gun frame can also be used to build the British 6-pounder, while hinged trail legs provide an option for airborne forces.
