Crimean War British Sots Greys Heavy Cavalry - Black Powder
Crimean War British Sots Greys Heavy Cavalry - Black Powder
The Scots Greys, a legendary Dragoon regiment famed for their grey horses, arrived in the Crimea in 1854 under Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Griffith. Assigned to Brigadier-General Sir James Scarlett's Heavy Brigade, they played a pivotal role during the Battle of Balaklava.
On 25 October 1854, they faced a Russian cavalry force of roughly 3,000 sabres and successfully repelled them, inflicting heavy casualties while protecting the Highlanders and the British supply lines. Despite their heroic action, they witnessed the Light Brigade ride into disaster later that day.
This pack contains three mounted metal figures representing the Scots Greys in action, perfect for commanding heavy cavalry units in your Black Powder games.
