Airfix Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 GINA & Hawker Hurricane Mk.I - 1:72 Scale Model Kit

The Airfix Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 "GINA" & Hawker Hurricane Mk.I dual kit brings together two RAF aircraft from very different eras. Both are presented in 1:72 scale, with the set containing 97 parts across the two models.

The Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 features the distinctive "GINA" Battle of Britain tribute livery. Unveiled at RAF Coningsby in 2015, the paint scheme was inspired by the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I flown by Flight Lieutenant James Brindley Nicolson of No.249 Squadron during the Battle of Britain.

Nicolson was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions on 16th August 1940, making him the only Fighter Command pilot to receive the VC during the Second World War. His Hurricane was attacked by a Messerschmitt Bf 109 and caught fire, but Nicolson continued to engage another German aircraft before eventually escaping by parachute.

The set allows modellers to build both the Hurricane that inspired the tribute scheme and the modern Typhoon that carried it, providing a direct visual link between two generations of RAF aircraft.
