INSTRUCTIONS OF USE:
.- Using a sharp cutter or blade, carefully cut the decal as close to the edge of the image as possible. A new blade will help ensure clean cuts and prevent any tearing or damage.
.- Using a pair of tweezers, carefully place it into a container of lukewarm water. Let it soak for around 20 seconds or until the decal starts to loosen from the backing paper. If you're having trouble releasing the backing paper, try using slightly warmer water.
.- Once it is ready, carefully slide it off the backing paper and onto the surface of your model. You can use a soft paintbrush or cotton swab to help position the decal and smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles. Be gentle and take your time to avoid damaging the decal.
.- Once it has soaked long enough, carefully slide it onto the surface of your model using a pair of tweezers or a soft paintbrush. To prevent silvering and protect the paint beneath, apply a small amount of GSW Decal Fixer to the surface where you'll be placing it. If the decal is difficult to move around, add a little more Fixer or water to help it float on the surface until it's in the correct position.
.- If the surface where you want to apply it is curved, such as a shoulder pad, it may become wrinkled. To prevent this, apply GSW Decal Softener to the decal once it's in place. Let the Softener react and it will adapt to the curved surface, helping to remove wrinkles. Repeat this step 2-3 times until the wrinkles are gone. Use a cotton swab or paper towel to remove any excess liquid caught between the decal and the surface, being careful not to lift the decal from the surface. By using GSW Decal Softener, there's no need for relief cuts to remove wrinkles from the decal.
.- Finally, apply another coat of GSW Decal Fixer and the surrounding surface to unify the surface. If desired, you can then apply a coat of matt or gloss varnish to add or remove a glossy finish. With these steps, you'll be able to apply scale model decals with ease and achieve a professional-looking finish.
