Ten Years of Mighty Lancer Games And Giving Back to Our Community

2026 marks a huge milestone for us here at Mighty Lancer Games it is our 10th birthday.

Ten years of dice rolls, painted miniatures, late nights, early mornings, laughter, hard lessons, and a community that means more to us than we could ever properly put into words. When we opened our doors on King Street, I don’t think I could have imagined quite what Mighty Lancer Games would grow into. What has always mattered most, though, isn’t just the games, it’s the people.

And that’s exactly why, throughout 2026, we’re celebrating our 10th birthday by raising as much money as we can for The Hinge Centre here in Bridlington. 

Why The Hinge Centre?

The Hinge Centre is a small, locally focused charity based right here in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. They are committed to supporting individuals and families facing social and financial deprivation, providing services, guidance, and opportunities in a professional, compassionate, and non-judgemental way.

Their impact on our community is real and measurable. In 2025 alone, they:

• Provided 728 food parcels to individuals and families in need
• Supported 353 people through adult community groups in Bridlington
• Supported 107 children and delivered 183 children’s activities, creating safe, welcoming spaces where confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging can grow
• Delivered 76 festive hampers to local families during the holiday season

This is grassroots, community-led support making a genuine difference right here in East Yorkshire. We see the strength of this town every day and we also see the challenges some families face. If, in our own small way, we can help The Hinge Centre continue their incredible work, then that feels like a birthday worth celebrating.

Our 10th Birthday Fundraising Events Continue

As it was half term, we wanted to do something fun, accessible, and family friendly to continue our fundraising efforts.

On Saturday 14th February 2026, we invited everyone down to the shop on King Street to meet the Mighty Lancer Games mascots. Demis the Dragon was proudly holding the donation bucket, giving people the chance to pop in a contribution for The Hinge Centre while having their photographs taken.

Families were encouraged to bring their cameras, come and say hello, grab a photo with the mascots, and if they wished drop a donation in the bucket.

For two hours, our mascots stood outside the shop meeting people, posing for photos, spreading a bit of joy on the high street and informing people of the wonderful work The Hinge Centre does when asked. 

And together, you helped us raise £52.85 in aid of The Hinge Centre.

A Heartfelt Thank You

I want to say a massive thank you to every single person who came down, said hello, took a photo, or popped some money in the bucket. Every penny makes a difference. Every small act of kindness adds up.

We hope that this is just the beginning, we hope to be able to raise much more throughout the year in aid of The Hinge Centre as well as bringing more events and special offers for you as well.
