The Hinge Centre Fundraising Update - May

Our 10th Birthday Charity Update – May 2026 
As we are reaching the end of May, (already! how is that even possible), I wanted to take a moment to share an update on how our 10th birthday charity fundraising is going.
You can see all the information on our Birthday events and fundraising on our website HERE but this is just a quick catch up so you know how much we have raised in aid of The Hinge Centre in Bridlington. 

To re cap, throughout 2026 we’re raising money in aid of The Hinge Centre, a fantastic local charity doing vital work supporting individuals and families across Bridlington and the surrounding area because it is Mighty Lancer Games 10th birthday and we wanted to celebrate by giving something back to the community that has supported us for all these years. 

What have we done so far?

• Blood Bowl Tournament – raising £120.00
• Dragon Auction (Chaarondar the Cruel) – raising £155.70
• Lucky Dip – raising £469.00
• Mascot Day – raising £52.85
• Blood Bowl Spring Cup (Snotlings!) – raising £40.00

and now to add to the pot a fantastic member of our Discord added a further £35.46 via a direct donation which is so thankfully received. We also held another mascot day bringing in a further £49.00, which would have been a round £50 but someone found the need to pop a Euro in the bucket, and currently we have Bag-o- Saurus happening in store.

What is Bag-o-Saurus I hear you cry, well let me show you some pictures and then explain.
     

First of all we took some wonderfully soft and snuggly dinosaurs out of the stock room, then Little Miss and Mrs MLG popped them in a colourful bags and taped it shut so no one could see what was inside. Then we put those out of the shop floor for only £5 with every penny in aid of the Hinge Centre, which we think is a win win- you get a lovely brand new plushie and the Hinge Centre charity pot gets topped up even more. So far, as of the 22nd May, these blind bags have added .....drum roll please.......
......£90 to the pot and we still, currently, have some left. 

So the running total as of the 22nd May is £1,012.01 🎉

What have we got planned next?
We are still hopeful of getting some more donations for the lucky dip but our suppliers have been superbly generous already with donations being provided from 

• The Army Painter
• Bad Squiddo
• Mystery Dice Goblin
• Big Potato Games
• Crooked Dice
• Oakbound

to name just a few, we are still holding out hope that some of the people we have contacted will get back to us so keep your fingers crossed.

We also have something rather exciting in the works regarding auctioning off signed by the author books so keep an eye on our social media for that. 

And we are currently talking to the EYBBL about another 24 hour charity BloodBowl event  and Mrs MLG has a blow up dice that she keeps chucking about with thoughts of a giant dice tower in her head but that is probably far too over ambitious to actually get off the ground.
