The Hinge Centre Fundraising Update - March

Our 10th Birthday Charity Update – March 2026

As we move through March, I wanted to take a moment to share an update on how our 10th birthday charity fundraising is going so far this year.

As many of you know, throughout 2026 we’re raising money in aid of The Hinge Centre, a fantastic local charity doing vital work supporting individuals and families across Bridlington and the surrounding area.

We said at the start of the year that we wanted to make a real difference, and thanks to all of you, we’re already off to an incredible start.

💰 Fundraising So Far

Here’s what we’ve managed to raise together so far:

  • Blood Bowl Tournament – £120.00
  • Dragon Auction (Chaarondar the Cruel) – £155.70
  • Lucky Dip – £469.00
  • Mascot Day – £52.85
  • Blood Bowl Spring Cup (Snotlings!) – £40.00

🎉 Current Total Raised: £837.55

Honestly, seeing that number already this early in the year is something we’re really proud of, and it’s all down to you.

🐉 The Dragon Auction – A True Centrepiece for a Cause

One of the real highlights so far has to be the auction of Chaarondar the Cruel.

This wasn’t just any miniature this was a one-of-a-kind centrepiece, a stunning dragon from Reaper Miniatures cast in their durable Bones Black material and painted to an exceptional standard by the incredibly talented Kuroneko.

Kuroneko very generously donated this piece, pouring hours upon hours of patience, skill, and love into bringing Chaarondar to life purely to help us raise as much money as possible in aid of the charity. That kind of generosity is hard to put into words.

Painted in a striking blue and red colour scheme, with beautifully patterned wings and individually detailed scales, Chaarondar is a miniature that truly rewarded close inspection. Whether destined for a display cabinet, a tabletop centrepiece, or to strike fear into an RPG party, she absolutely commanded attention.

And thanks to your bids, she raised £155.70 in aid of The Hinge Centre.

🎁 The Lucky Dip – A Community Favourite

Our in-store Lucky Dip has been an absolute smash.

For those who haven’t experienced it yet, the idea is simple, a big box filled with wrapped hobby goodies. For £3, you got to rummage around and pick a mystery prize.

Inside? A treasure trove of hobby items generously donated by some of the fantastic companies we work with, including:

  • The Army Painter
  • Bad Squiddo
  • Mystery Dice Goblin
  • Big Potato
  • Crooked Dice

Between the excitement of not knowing what you’ll get and the knowledge that it’s all for a great cause, it’s been amazing to see so many people get involved.

So far, the Lucky Dip has raised an incredible £469.00.

At the moment, the box is empty (you lot cleared it out!), but we’re hoping to secure more donations and bring it back later in the year, so keep an eye out…

If you’re curious, we even unboxed some of the donations over on our YouTube channel:

One of the prizes in our Lucky Dip was a Holiday! yes you heard that correctly and the lovely family who won sent us this image of them enjoying their time away and seeing this made us smile so big, it is wonderful and we are so grateful that the family let us share this lovely picture and had a great time.

🐉 Mascot Day – Small Event, Big Smiles

Back in February, during half term, we hosted a Mascot Day outside our shop on King Street.

Demis the Dragon was front and centre, holding the donation bucket and happily posing for photos while helping spread the word about the amazing work The Hinge Centre does.

It was a simple, family-friendly event, two hours of smiles, photos, and conversations on the high street, and together we raised £52.85.

🏈 Blood Bowl Madness (Featuring Snotlings…)

We’ve also had some fantastic support from our gaming community.

The EYBBL Blood Bowl Tournament raised £120.00 earlier in the year and then on Sunday 22nd March, we hosted the wonderfully chaotic EYBBL Blood Bowl Spring Cup, where eight brave (or possibly slightly unhinged) coaches took on the unpredictable madness of Snotling teams raising £40.00 in aid of the charity and plenty of laughs along the way.

Every event, every donation, every £3 Lucky Dip pull — it all adds up.

More importantly, it all goes toward supporting the incredible work done by The Hinge Centre right here in our community.

We’re only a few months into 2026, and already we’ve seen just how generous, supportive, and downright brilliant this community is.

We’ve got plenty more planned throughout the year, more events, more opportunities to get involved, and hopefully plenty more chances to raise money in aid of a cause that truly matters.

From all of us here at Mighty Lancer Games, thank you.

Let’s keep rolling. 🎲
