Northern Lights | Not Hobby Related But Beautiful
Emma LongShare
I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights but never been able to until last night! We finished work early for a change, about 11:30pm, and looked to the skies as always to see a strange pink glow and a white strip. It looked very odd and we convinced ourselves it was some sort of laser (they are not uncommon to see in the skys here), but decided to head to a darker area.
The carpark on the cliff top was packed with people coming and going but despite the added lights from cars and security lights the sky was amazing and glowing with greens and pinks.
When we got home we were even more astonished to see them over our house, something we never thought we would see, an Aurora over our house in Bridlington, East Yorkshire UK. Apparently the Northern Lights should be visible again tonight but I am very very happy to have stumbled upon them this time.
Have you ever seen the aurora?
This post may not have been strictly hobby related and more just to tell you how happy Mrs MLG is right now, but, technically you could use the images as inspiration for your next paint project or use the Northern Lights as a backdrop for a rpg adventure plot. What would you be inspired to do?
