Moonstone Sprout Day
Emma LongOn Sunday 17th May we held our first Moonstone gaming event, Moonstone Sprout Day, designed for both existing players and those that are completely new to the tabletop skirmish game of Moonstone.
As I hope you all know by now 2026 is the 10th birthday of Mighty Lancer Games but it is also the 10th birthday of the creators of Moonstone, Goblin King Games, so the perfect timing for a Moonstone birthday party.
Unlike typical tournaments there were no rounds or set game lengths, instead there were 6 different story scenarios from the various Moonstone books for 2 players and 2-4 players all set up and ready to play using the participants own Moonstone miniatures.

Everyone had a great time with some new players giving Moonstone a go for the first time. There was lots of gaming chat, inspiration from each others painted miniatures and laughter from epic moments such as in the pirate scenario where two combatants slew each other with mighty blows. 
Most people collectively agreed that they enjoyed the pirate scenario the best with second place being the library setting
The painting on the characters was of course fantastic and as part of the Moonstone Sprout Day event we had a painting competition, here are just a few of the painted miniatures ......
