Every week we try to pick a miniature from around the store that not only would we like to paint but we think you would love to paint too. This week was slightly different as both myself and Mr MLG decided to pick a Miniature Of The Week without telling each other and we both filmed our picks separately, as you can see from the selfie style filming, but, we both picked the same miniature! I have no idea what the probability of that is, from the thousands of miniatures we sell in store to both pick the same miniature to show you...wow! Well that would at least suggest that this miniature is awesome.
But what is the miniature I hear you cry, it is the Hivewarden from Reaper Miniatures, a giant brain on tentacle legs and it is very cool. Hive Warden will make a great edition to your gaming table, just to paint for fun or to throw at your adventuring party and see how they cope with this monster.
I have painted one of these wonderful gaming miniatures before and did so for the Reaper Challenge League Limited Palette, this is a painting incentive in which you are only allowed to paint a miniature with the three colours picked by Reaper. You can pick any miniature you like from the Reaper range and any paint from the Reaper range but they have to be in the colours chose, in this case Purple, Pink and Orange. I used Royal Purple (09240) , Fireball Orange and limited edition pink. I painted my Hivewarden on 6th April 2021 at the start of my painting journey and this was how it turned out but of course you can paint your Hive Warden however you like.
